ADVANCED GEOLOGICAL AND GEOPHYSICAL PROSPECTING FOR POLYMETALLIC MINERALIZATION WITHIN RUDNY ALTAI MINERAGENIC ZONE

Rudny Altai MZ deposits are associated with Emsian to Early Givetian basalt-rich rhyolite silicicalcareous terrigenous formation and Late Givetian to Early Frasnian basalt-rhyolite silicic terrigenous formation. Analysis of different-scale deposit localization environments suggests that Rudny Altai-type ore districts are equivalent to structural-formational blocks which are major volcanotectonic depressions filled by single ore-bearing formation deposits.

The works resulted in discovery of prospects for detailed prospecting divided into three groups by prospectivity.

Undiscovered resources and expected orebody localization depth were estimated for each prospects. Currently, prospecting at the first phase prospects is nearing completion and repeated forecasting and mineragenic studies within ore districts and clusters are discussed.
