Main areas of the scientific and practical activity: forecast, prospecting, and assessment of ore deposits; study and analysis of the Russian mineral resource base and planning of the geological exploration; analysis of the state and forecasting the development of the mineral resource bases of uranium and other ferrous, base, rare, and alloying metals in Russia; development of methods for integrated geological- economic and technological-economic revaluation of ore deposits; application of innovative technologies for processing the complex and refractory ores. He is an expert at the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation in geosciences. Author of more than 150 scientific works, including the major monographs “Economic-geological types of uranium deposits in the CIS countries” (2008) and “Uranium of the Russian subsoil” (2010). One of the co-authors of the Russian Geological Encyclopedia (2012), a unique three-volume work first published in Russia. Member of the editorial boards of the journals “Exploration and Protection of Subsoil”, “Mineral Resources of Russia. Economics and Management".
